Design a Dramatic Wedding Gate!

We’ve got a really good one this week! One of our new brides has requested a dramatic entrance gate at her wedding; she wants to WOW her guests as soon as they arrive. We like the way she thinks!

Below are five gate designs we’ve come up with. Which one is your favorite?

Please share your vote in the comments. Thanks!

  1. #4 is my personal favorite! I think it would be well paired with a variety of ‘styles’; vintage, traditional. But, if the wedding is uber-modern, #5 is pretty darn dramatic. Did you take your inspiration from the Sydney Opera House?!

I would say the grandeur of #3 is the most dramatic but if the wedding wants a little bit more of a modern flair #5 is spectacularly impressive!!

It’s a little difficult to choose without understanding the client’s style. Is she going with a more vintage or glamorous feel? Modern or traditional? I personally prefer #3 if a traditional gate in the literal sense is what they are looking for, however, #5 would be amazing with gorgeous florals and lighting as well.

Every design is beaitiful when in the appropriate space and vibe. More imput on the event style would help make a choice. The last option, #5 is nothing like i have seen at an event and would leave a memorable mark for me at an event!

  18. #3 is stunning. If the couple is SUPER modern, #5 works best and it’s something I haven’t seen before :) Good work!

What is her style? What other elements will be a part of the wedding? Is it a modern affair or is it a classic with vintage touches? I’d need more details to pick what would work. Where is this going outside the reception door or inside? Or is it for the ceremony?

This is a toss up for me right now without knowing all of the details. Will this gate be indoors or outdoors, how many guests will this gate be accomodating? I will have to say my vote is for Gates #2 & #5.

#3 is my first choice #4 is my second choice.

  33. Definitely # 3. However it really depends on what your brides overall theme is.

#3 is dramatic and #5 would be a modern dramatic look…very nice.

I personally like # 5 because of the depth in creating the gate. To me it represents elegance from the modern world. But if creating a south Asian theme then I would go with # 2. It represent royal heritage rich in class.

I´d like the number 3, it´s more dramatic.

  40. Corine
    January 11, 2012

Number 2 is the one I’d choose. Classic but will go with many styles

  41. SARAROXXU
    January 11, 2012

#3 is a CLASSIC, Stylish Gate. #5 is a Dramatic, Contemporary Arched Entrance. Both are Terrific! It would depend on the taste of the couple and their style whether they want to make a nod to the rich history of the past or embrace the exciting future as they walk the road of life together as Mr. and Mrs.
